Resources for Engaged Civic Education

Be a Citizen houses civic learning resources to connect meaningful civic education to schools and communities. Through an interdisciplinary approach, our resources help students connect learning experiences to their lives and, likewise, become active contributors to their community’s civic culture. Students explore needs of the school/community, strategize, act on a plan, and reflect upon results. Be a Citizen draws on the research and scholarship of civic education, inquiry-based learning, and the College, Career, and Civic Life (C3) Framework. h
